Players may not normally win more than one monetary prize, with the exception of the winner of the the Open.
Prizes may be combined and shared where appropriate.
Ungraded players may not win more than £50, unless playing in the Open, and are not eligible for grading prizes.
British Championship Qualification Place
The winner of the Hertfordshire Congress OPEN tournament shall be awarded a place in the British Chess Championship 2017.
Should the winner be already qualified, the place will be offered to the next highest eligible player.
Tradewise Grand Prix
Results from the Hertfordshire Congress contribute to a player's score in the Tradewise Grand Prix
which runs from 1st July to 30th June each year. See Leader Boards.

Trophies are awarded to the highest-scoring Hertfordshire player in each section.
The Glynne Jones is awarded to the best performing Junior (under 18) from Hertfordshire, Cambridgeshire, Norfolk & Suffolk. When tied on points the winner of the trophy is the player in the higher rated section.
